Laurie is an amazing Medical Office Assistant who shows up every day and goes above and beyond. Our organization has truly benefited from the years of knowledge and experience she brings. She advocates for and assists our First Nation clients with fairness, responsibility, and genuine care.

She is culturally informed; trauma informed and deeply understands the intergenerational trauma our people have gone through. This shines through in the way she listens, supports, and treats every client with dignity and compassion.

Laurie is also known for her quirky sense of humor that our clients enjoy, and her office is filled with plants that reflect who she is growing, vibrant, colorful, and always reaching beyond the planter.

She balances so much with ease: answering phone calls, faxes, letters, client prescriptions, nursing requests, sterilizing medical equipment, and even reviewing MOA policies all with a smile on her face.

Our clients trust her, our doctors and nurses appreciate her, and I know I can always depend on her. She makes working here better every single day. It is truly a privilege to have Laurie as part of our team.

I would like to rave our two MOAS Sadie and Ceridywn. They are the back bones of the the clinic, without their steadfast determination, grit, patience, and all around good energy I dont know how we would survive the day. They a difference in everyones day and sometimes are undervalued with all that they do. I couldnt imagine the clinic without either of them, they are such a huge part of what makes us so successful in helping our patients.

This human is lovely and kind to all. They are always willing to help, and are excellent at organizing & keeping up with the ever changing environment. Thank you!!

They felt comfortable and respected knowing Marisa was handling their critical healthcare coordination, such as specialist referrals and medical imaging appointments etc.
This essential patient-care work was managed alongside a vast scope of critical administrative, facility, and logistical support for the entire Health Centre operation. Her expertise ensured the smooth, daily functioning of all our services.
