The Nanaimo Division of Family Practice is seeking nominations for one (1) General Member Director at Large who must:

​

• be 19 years of age or older;

• be a General Practitioner who is duly licensed by, and in good standing with, the College; and

• practice as a General Practitioner with or without hospital privileges within the area.

 

Board Directors represent an organized local network of front line providers who benefit from their connections with regional and provincial peer leaders, and who work closely with senior health authority leadership and others who recognize that engaging primary health care is essential to driving health care system change.

The initial term of office of Directors is currently three (3) years, and Directors may serve up to a maximum of six (6) years.

All nominations are required by Thursday September 10th, 2026 and should be sent by email to Beccy Robson, Executive Director, Nanaimo Division of Family Practice.

* If more Nominations are received than vacant positions on the Board, electronic election material will be circulated via email on September 17th, 2026 to the voting membership. Otherwise, the nominees will be elected by acclamation at the Annual General Meeting.
