Required Coverage: Monday to Friday

Requirements: An excellent choose-your-own adventure locum for anyone looking to try out longitudinal family practice in Nanaimo. A small patient panel in a busy clinic with excellent staff, a comprehensive nursing station, allied health providers, and an Urgent Primary Care Centre. Optional prenatal/intrapartum low risk obstetrics in a supportive group of providers (for qualified individuals with appropriate privileges). Base work week is 3 days of clinic, with optional 24h obstetrics shift. The examining room is available exclusively to you, so you have full control over your schedule and can increase your number of clinic days as you wish. It is a busy clinic so you will always be booked with patients. There is the option to increase variety in clinic with Urgent Care shifts (available day time/evening, 7 days/week), women's health clinic, procedures, driver's medicals, baby group etc. LFP billing in clinic (FFS available if preferred) - and panel payments will be forwarded to the locum for every 3 months of commitment. Overhead 20%. UPCC is salaried with evening/weekend incentives, no overhead taken from salary, and patients seen are not counted towards the 30% maximum for unattached patients with typical LFP billing in a clinic

Requirements: Wednesday full day & Thursday AM (some flexibility with ability to increase) NO call, no maternity, no inpatient requirements.

Requirements: Monday and Wednesday in office between 8am - 4pm. No on call coverage or coverage outside of these hours. May add a telephone appointment day if the physician chooses. Reviewing labs and reports for the host physician.

Requirements: OAT/Substance Use Services Locum: Low-barrier OAT and Substance Use Sessions, relevant education and training to prescribe opioid agonist treatment as outlined in standards, Community Health Centre. Requirements: No hospital privileges required, no on-call responsibilities.

Requirements: HIV Primary Care/PrEP/Sexual Health/Gender-affirming Care Locum: Queer, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans Wellness for all self-identified Trans and Gender Non-Binary people and for self-identified Men who have sex with Men, Sexual Health Services/HIV Primary Care and PrEP prescribing with follow-up care/Gender-affirming Care, Community Health Centre, relevant HIV training and/or interest in Queer, Gay, Bi, Trans Health. Requirements: No hospital privileges required, no on-call responsibilities.

Requirements: Any coverage appreciated, panel only really needs part time weekly coverage, no hospital work.

Fully supported clinic environment. Hourly rate: $207.77. We are seeking a physician who values First Nations–led health care, collaborative team environments, and relationship-based. practice.

Requirements: The Snaw-Naw-As First Nations (Nanoose) has an immediate need for a Locum Family Physician(s) to provide 1-6 sessions per week of Primary Care Services at the Snaw-Naw-As Health Centre for a period of 3 weeks (or longer dependent on number of sessions per week filled and FP availability). There is also an ongoing opportunity for a Family Physician to cover 1-2 sessions per month as part of the group of FPs that provide care on a regular rotation. The Snaw-Naw-As Health Centre is home to an interdisciplinary team of providers including Physicians, Nurse Practitioner (currently vacant), Home and Community Health Nurses, Maternal Health Worker, and Wellness Counselor, as well as, several visiting service providers. The Physicians provide low barrier primary care to an Indigenous patient population often with complex medical needs. This can include patients of various ages with multiple co-morbidities, past experiences with trauma and/or significant social and cultural barriers to care. Previous experience in working in First Nations Communities and/or with Indigenous peoples and the ability to provide patient and family centred care, with respect to the importance of traditional healing practices is ideal. Previous training in cultural safety and trauma informed practice and knowledge in care of patients with substance use and trauma is preferred.

Requirements: No walk-in or call requirements. Schedule is flexible (days and hours) between 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Requirements: Looking for ongoing locum coverage to see 'overflow' of patients within clinic. We have a very large patient panel for the currently 8 physicians in clinic, and there are always patients needing to be seen from all of our physicians' panels. We have room for a physician at any time from Dec.1st 2025 onwards (until permanent positions filled). Highest need for Jan, Feb, July and Aug 2026. Flexible days and times - any time within opening hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:30). Combination of virtual and in-person appointments available. Collegial group with lots of on-site support.
